Regenerative nutrition

The body's tissues are continually regenerating and repairing themselves. Proper nutrition preserves these activities for healthy function and wards off possible degeneration. It also prevents disease, malfunction and improves healing after tissue damage. Good, broad spectrum nutrition is the key to maintaining health, preventing disease and ageing well. Providing good nourishment to cells and tissues during wound healing and regeneration is a little researched, overlooked topic in the regenerative sciences. And could lead to more successful regeneration and healing outcomes. Proper cell and tissue nutrition includes: micronutrients, phytonutrients, enzymes, trace elements (mineral salts and ions), vitamins. Nutrition-based strategies are now being formulated  to enhance regenerative therapies (cells and tissues). Providing stem cells and specialised cell populations/subpopulations with specific essential elemental ions, salts and enzymes will boost regeneration and improve the quality, volume and function of tissues. There is evidence highlighting the direct effects of nutritional compounds/ substances on regeneration of the following tissues:

Nerve-Ashwaganda, Curcumin
Liver- Ginseng, Curcumin
Beta cells-Berberine,
Heart tissue-Resveratrol, Eleuthero
Joints-Curcumin, Resveratrol
Mineral trace elements
Iodine
Magnesium (macro)
Calcium
Copper
Iron
