CoralWorks

Making synthetic coral analogs for use in structural tissue engineering, but also outside the medical field, including separations chemistry, fractionation, purification, catalysis, and analytical chemistry. Corals possess a highly intricate architecture and structure designed for effective water flow through the polyps. However, much of the structure accumulates to build a solid platform to support the polyps in positions that provide maximum food and sunlight. The coral structure is a remarkable replicate of many types of bone textures found in different parts of the skeleton. Product name: CoralTissue and ReefWorks

Target medical application: Hard tissue implants (bulk and particulate) for ex-situ and in situ regeneration, block cylinders for filtration of biological liquids,
